Why Working Harder Is Keeping You Poor

Most people think the secret to wealth is grinding longer hours. It's not.

In fact, working harder is exactly what's keeping you stuck. When you trade time for money, your income has a hard ceiling. You can only work so many hours in a day. If you want to scale, you need to break the link between your time and your output.

That's what leverage is.

The Three Levels of Leverage

If you want to build an empire, you have to understand leverage. Here are the three levels:

  1. Labor (The Lowest Level): This is where most people start. You hire people to do the work for you. It works, but humans are expensive, they sleep, and they make mistakes.
  2. Capital (The Middle Level): This is using money to make money. Investing in assets, real estate, or other businesses. It's powerful, but you need money to start.
  3. Code and Media (The Highest Level): This is the holy grail. Software, AI, and content. You build it once, and it works for you forever, for free. It scales infinitely with zero marginal cost.

How to Apply High-Level Leverage Today

You don't need to be a software engineer to use code leverage anymore. AI has democratised it.

If you're running a business today and you aren't using AI agents to automate your operations, you are falling behind. Fast.

Here is how you start:

  • Audit your time: Track every task you do for a week.
  • Identify the bottlenecks: What repetitive tasks are eating up your day?
  • Automate the friction: Build or deploy an AI agent to handle those specific tasks.

I used to spend hours every week managing data and following up with leads. Now, an AI agent does it for me while I sleep. That's leverage. That's how you buy back your time to focus on strategy and growth.

Stop working harder. Start building leverage.

Until next time, keep building.
